Anduril and Microsoft are taking the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) Program to the next level.

Anduril Partners with Microsoft to Advance Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) Program

Microsoft Corp. and Anduril Industries have announced an expanded partnership to advance the U.S. Army’s Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) program. Pending Department of Defense approval, Anduril will oversee IVAS production, development, and delivery, while Microsoft Azure becomes the preferred hyperscale cloud for related workloads.

Enhancing Battlefield Awareness

As warfare evolves, traditional command systems are insufficient. IVAS integrates augmented and virtual reality to enhance soldiers’ situational awareness, effectiveness, and survivability against modern threats.

This partnership leverages Anduril’s defense expertise and scalable manufacturing alongside Microsoft’s AI and cloud capabilities to drive innovation, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

AI and Cloud-Driven Military Solutions

Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities provide real-time insights crucial for military operations. Anduril will adopt Azure for its AI development, ensuring robust security and compliance for mission-critical applications.

A Vision for the Future

Palmer Luckey, Founder of Anduril, stated, “The IVAS program merges technology and human capability to give soldiers an operational edge.” Robin Seiler, VP of Mixed Reality at Microsoft, emphasized their commitment to delivering a game-changing capability for U.S. soldiers.

Strengthening Defense Collaboration

Microsoft and Anduril previously integrated Anduril’s Lattice platform into IVAS for AI-driven situational awareness. This agreement deepens their collaboration, maximizing AI, cloud computing, and defense manufacturing to enhance military operations.

As the military modernizes, this partnership ensures that warfighters remain technologically superior in evolving combat environments.
